Main Areas of practice
Maria is an Advocate and the Corporate Team Leader of Mylonas | Law, heading the firm's Corporate and Commercial Department. She leads the team responsible for the structuring, administration and reorganisation of corporate groups across multiple jurisdictions, and works closely with the managing partner on the firm's most complex cross-border mandates.
Her practice covers
- Corporate structuring and reorganisations: holding structures, special purpose vehicles, cross-border reorganisations and shareholder arrangements
- Shipping and funds: establishment and ongoing legal support of shipping companies and regulated investment vehicles
- Energy and infrastructure: project documentation for renewable energy portfolios, including land leases for operating photovoltaic parks, EPC contract close-out and the termination and restructuring of development agreements
- Governance and compliance: board procedures, statutory compliance and regulatory requirements for sophisticated multi-jurisdictional groups
- Private clients: relocation to Cyprus, cross-border structuring and private investment for entrepreneurs, high-net-worth individuals and family businesses
