Are trustee and fiduciary services regulated in Cyprus?
Yes. Trustee, company administration and similar services are regulated in Cyprus and must be provided by persons authorised to do so, subject to anti-money laundering and beneficial ownership rules.
Is confidentiality still available after the beneficial ownership registers?
Client affairs remain confidential, and access to beneficial ownership information is governed by law. Structures should be designed on the basis that the competent authorities can see who ultimately owns and controls them.
